God has done a huge work in my life this week! I went to Supper Summer at Hardin-Simmons University with Coggin and I'm completely changed. God revealed to me that I'm no longer aloud to sit on the sidelines and watch others spread the Gospel. I have to stop caring what people think about me and be radically obedient to the fact that He's called me to follow Him daily and tell people of who He is and how He is the ONLY WAY!
In 1 Samuel, David hears that there is a Philistine who has been mocking the Israelites for the past 40 days. There's basically this 9+ foot giant standing on the battle field mocking God and daring anyone to come try and take him on. Well isn't having any of it! In chapter 17 verse 32 he goes to King Saul and says that he'll go fight Goliath. Saul replies in verse 33 with, "Don't be ridiculous! There's no way you can fight this Philistine and possibly win! You're only a boy, and he's been a man of war since his youth."
Yeah Goliath's like 10 feet tall, but David's been fighting off lions and bears as his father's shepherd for years! Plus, David's got something Goliath doesn't have. He's got God on his side. In verse 37 David tells Saul, "The Lord who has rescued me from the claws of the lion and bear will rescue me from this Philistine!" So, the way I see it we have two options:
1. We live like David and know that there is absolutely NOTHING in this world that can conquer us because God is in us...HELLO! He created it for goodness sake!
or
2. We look at things like Saul, live on the fence, and cower at the battles that come our way because we aren't willing to put our trust in Christ.
We try to make excuses and throw out the, God can't use me, or I'm too young, it's not possible, but if you flip over to the New Testament in 1 Timothy 4 you'll see in verse 12 that Paul tells Timothy, who is a young preacher at the time, "Don't let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity."
We serve the one true God and we've run out of excuses! If we're not telling people of Jesus Christ and leading them to salvation, then why are we here????? I know that if we would all just put Christ first, we will be able to reach the nations like we're called to do in Acts 1:8 which says, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere - in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
No more excuses. And no exceptions. Are you ready to answer the call?

Bieber Fever!
Ello!! Today I went and saw Justin Bieber: Never Say Never...twice! Haha first I went with my two besties, Kayla and Makenlee, at 4, then I went back at 10 with Sara, Addie, Sydney, and Cader! :) It was even better the second time! I didn't really know much about The Biebster until now. Now, I'm ready to get all his music and go to his concert! Haha I sound like a complete nerd but what can I say? He's amazing lol. And the thing that makes me so supportive is his faith. He and his family are good strong Christians and it's so cool to see how he's utilizing the talents that God's so graciously blessed him with!
Oh! Last
Night I went skating with a bunch of my friends and it was a dadgum blast! I haven't been skating since like the 8th grade. Definitely a new hang out! :) wellllll....I guess that's about it for now :)
Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trepasses, as we forgive those who trepass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen

Golfin' for His Glory!
Yay! We actually had a golf tournament today! And...drum roll please...we won! That's right...30 billion mph winds can't faze the Lady Lions! No siree! God has blessed each one of us with a talent for golf and we give Him the glory as we took home the gold! After the tournament we went to Abuelos mmmmmm :) then Hobby Lobby! :D I had to get stuff to make Spanish Valentines...ay caramba! So got to go get started on those...hoping school will start late because another cold front's supposed to be moving in...but just in case it doesn't I better not procrastinate any longer. Later :)
Thank you for all that you have blessed us with, Lord. You have given us so much to be thankful for, and I know we don't take time to thank you enough near as much as we should. You have given us Your son, yet we struggle giving you the tiniest bit of our time. God I pray that You spark a fire in each of our hearts, that we would begin to crave You and become so dependent on You that we continue to seek You. In your precious name I pray, Amen.

A Birthday To Thank God For
Today was a bit of a roller coaster. It started out a little tough but then God put me at peace with things, for the most part, and then the day got a lot better. My bestest friend is in a new relationship and I am very happy for her! He's a great guy and she deserves to be happy :) My Meme turned 77 today! This is truly a day to celebrate because last November she was baking and fell on an open flame and 20% of her body was burned. It was a really tough time for the family and she was in the hospital for a month, but she is a fighter and is always getting stronger! I thank God for her and her recovery!
My car still reeks from the nasty skunk juice that continues to loom around! Hopefully it will go away in the near future... Tomorrow is our golf tournament in Abilene! I'm so excited!!! I've been dying to play for a good two weeks and it keeps getting post-poned! But the Lady Lions will do work tomorrow! After the tournament we're gonna stop by Hobby Lobby so I can get stuff to make my Valentine's Cards for espanoly! Love Hobby Lobby...thank you Becky Fowler for getting me addicted to it! Anywho....that's about it for today!
I leave you with this as my prayer: "So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask Got to give you complete knowledge of His will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you lear to know God better and better. We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need." - Colossians 1:9-11 AMEN.

Church. Superbowl. Skunks...OH MY!
Today was quite interesting. It started off like any normal Sunday does. I went to church at 8 and got home at 12. For those of you who don't know, I am in the Common Ground Praise Band at First United Methodist Church. I love it so so much. By being "in the band" I have discovered my purpose in life, to sing for the Lord all the days of my life!
Anyways, after lunch I came home and took a little napski...LOVE me some extra sleep! Then some friends and I went to a Superbowl party and I'm embarrassed to say we Dined and Dashed. The food was great but the game couldn't keep our attention. So what do Brownwood girls do on a Sunday night with nothing better to do? That's right! Drive the county roads baby! Haha The only bad thing is...on county roads there's a lot of little critters that don't know getting on the road can be a fatal descison...poor skunk...he didn't even know what hit him... :( I'M SOWWWWYYYYYY!!!!!!!
So that about sums up my day. Oh, and God knew exactly what he was doing when He blessed me with those 7 people on the right side of my page! In the words of Caitlyn Cloy, "I feel like our group is proof to the world that God exists and He is AMAZING!" Amen, Sister!
God, I thank you for today. So much has happened and I know you will strengthen me through it all. I will become closer to you through this and that's all that matters in the end. You, God, are greater, stronger, higher than any other, healer and awesome in power! I ask for a blessing over everyone reading this tonight. That they may have a personal relationship with you. I ask that we all be living to for you in all that we do! I love you and praise you and ask all this in Your holy and precious name. Amen

I'm in love! I'm in love! And I don't care who knows it!
Today was great! We had our cast party for High School Musical out at my dad's office and it turned out to be a lot of fun. A lot of SingStar was played and there was the BreadMan...but I won't go into detail about that. Haha! My dad is so amazing! He got everything out there ready for us and I am so thankful for him! Gosh a girl couldn't ask for a better daddy!
My days are all messed up because we only went to school twice this week and I was supposed to be in a golf tournament this weekend...extremely sad it was canceled btw! I have a tournament Monday in Abilene and I really hope the weather doesn't keep us from going. I love golf! It's amazing how it has helped shape me into the person I am. I actually grow closer to God through it which is why I think He's given me a passion for it! I used to get so mad when I'd hit a bad shot and then my entire game would go south fast! But then I started taking deep breaths and just asking God to take my frustration away and my game would get better as long as I looked to Him for strength. Now I always write "Phil. 2:5" on each golf ball which says, "We must have the attitude of Christ". This always reminds me to chill out and don't let this bad shot effect the next.
Oh my! Last night I wrote a letter to my future husband! It was so much fun!! I guess that shows how much of a girl I am...oh well haha I had so much to tell him and ask him and stuff and now I can't wait until the day that we get married and then someday I'll remember I wrote that and I 'll find my journal and we'll read it and make fun of me for being such a dork! It'll be great :D Anywho, I would suggest all of you to do it as well. It's so cool what all comes to your mind when your writing to him...or her if you're a guy!
So as the title suggests...I am in LOVE! Who is it you ask? It's God! Here's the thing: I've been thinking about how much I talk about Him and I start worrying that people will think I'm not being sincere because I talk about Him in just about every conversation. But here's the thing...I am utterly and completely in love with my Heavenly Father and my world revolves around Him! When you're in love isn't that what you do? Constantly talk about the person you're infatuated with??? So when I get carried away talking about Him, that's why. Because He is all I want to talk about! I am His beloved, His bride, His child, and He is my EVERYTHING! God is SOOOOO good!
God, you are the Light of the world and we thank you for all that you are doing in our lives. We pray that you give us comfort and strength where needed and that we glorify you for all of our triumphs. I ask Lord that you bless each person tonight. I pray for their health and their families. I ask you to be the calm in their storms. Father please give them the desire to have an intimate and personal relationship with you! If anyone does not know you personally, or has not asked you to come into their lives as their Lord and Savior, God I ask that you give them the words to do so. I know once you enter someone's life, everything changes and we are overwhelmed with a love that is incomparable to anything else! You are an amazing God and I love you and praise you! I thank you for your son whom you sent to wash away our sins. Your grateful daughter, Amen!

Micah 6:8
First off, the title of my blog was inspired by Micah 6:8 which says, "He has shown you what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." It lays out pretty plain and simple what the Lord requires of us all. My favorite movie of all time is a documentary called "One Nation Under God" and in this movie there is a man that does some spoken word poetry and he quotes this scripture. It gives me chills every time I watch it!
Anyways, I've been spending the last week in and out of school. The weather has been crazy! We had school Monday, then Tuesday and Wednesday it was called off, then Thursday we went back to school, now it's Friday and no school again! It's like a mini winter break and I love it! Although, I do not love the fact we will have to make these days up sometime...bleh! One thing that I have always loved about the snow is how it makes everything quieter. Seriously! Go outside when there's a fresh blanket of fluffy white snow laying on the ground and try not to be amazed by how quiet it is!
One bummer about the snow, though, is that the golf tournament that we were supposed to go to in San Angelo this weekend got canceled. :( Very sad because it was a two day tournament and those are the best! Our Varsity Golf team is a very tight knit group. Makenlee, who is my best friend, and Morgan, who is a very funny gal, always find a way to make us laugh. Kinsey loves to give hugs and is always cracking corny jokes that I don't get half the time...but that is why I love her! Macie is a sweetheart and can be just as crazy as the rest of us at times. And then there's Coach Martin, aka "Mom". We love her so much! She's hilarious and always finds herself laughing with us! I'm gonna miss that lady when I leave.
Right now, God is doing so much in my life! It's exciting and scary all at the same time. I know that He is calling me to be a worship leader and so now I'm left with deciding how I'm going to make His plan for me work. I'm planning on attending Texas A&M in the fall and starting out in General Studies. After that I haven't a clue as to what my future holds. There are two schools that I know about that have amazing Worship Leader programs and focus on turning out great Worship Leaders for churches. There's one called New Life School of Worship in Colorado Springs, CO which is where the band Desperation Band comes from. The other one is not as close to home. It's called Hillsong International Leadership College and it is in Australia. Yeah I know...my parents were shocked too! But they both have great programs and so now all I can do is continue to pray about which one is right for me.
God is also working in me about something else as well. I won't go into details because it's still between God and me and lately it's become quite complicated, but your prayers would be greatly appreciated.
Well, I hope I have not bored you to tears! If you need anything, a prayer request, a joy to share, someone to talk to, anything, please do not hesitate to let me know! I will leave with this: God, I pray for each person that has read this today. Father I ask that you would bless them and be with them. Please be their comforter and strength throughout this day. Any trials they may be facing, God, I ask that you give them clarity on how to overcome this time. I rejoice with them in their joys, and share tears with them in their hard times. Continue to work in each of our lives, that we may all be a light for you in this world. I ask all this in your precious and holy name. Amen
